Rally San Marino 2002
It was the sixth race of the CIR (Italian Rally Championship) and the fourth one for the CRT (Challenge Rally Gravel), but it was very interesting because we had important retires for the various classifications of the top drivers.
Navarra had an engine failure of his Subaru Impreza WRC after two stages, but Travaglia didn't profit the adversary blow up and did exit off and broke his Peugeot 206 WRC. The leadership in the CRT championship is immutated, with Navarra still first. This double debacle let Aghini with another official Peugeot 206 WRC by Peugeot Italia to win.
In the Super1600 category things ended differently, with the fifth victory of Paolo Andreucci with Fiat Punto Rally assisted by Procar team. The direct challengers retired during the first leg, with Galli rolling in the first stage and Dallavilla exiting just in the following special stages.
