Round 3 - Rallye Villa de Llanes (June, 7-9): Podium and victory
Sergio Vallejo has finished the Villa de Llanes Rally in the third overall position and the first at Super1600 Championship.
All the rally was dominated by the changing climatic condictions, with the stages changing
from dry to wet within minutes. With these conditions the tyre election was the key of the rally. The driver has to make 3 stages without service so was near impossible to have the right tyres on all the stages.
Vallejo dominated the Super1600 category with authority finishing the rally with an
advantage of 4 minutes over the Works Peugeot 206. "The rally was very difficult, but I'm very satisfied with the result, the car and the tyres.", said Vallejo at the end of the rally.

Round 4 - Rally of Ourense (June, 21-23): Leaders in Super1600!
Vallejo brothers won the Super1600 category at Ourense Rally. This position boost them in
the leadership of Super1600 category and the second position on the Spanish Championship. This victory is the third in a row since Vallejo started the 2002 season.
This rally, as usual, was won by Puras who with the absence of other WRC cars in the
championship has no rivals to fight with. So the emotion was in the fight for the second
and third places of the podium. This rally is a very rough one and the retirements were
very frecuent all the day.
The setup of the car was not corrected for the type of tarmac and heavy heat of the day,
Sergio had to use the morning to try a setup more suitable for the conditions of the rally.
Muniente, main rival in the fight for the title, went off the road in the first stages of the day
and that gave to Sergio the leadership of the Super1600 championship.
"We lost a lot of time in the first stages, I'm not confortable with the car, but now
we must run thinking in the points of the Championship, said Sergio at the en of the first leg.
During the evening Vallejo was more conservative, trying to finish and getting the points to lead the Championship. The JWRC driver Sola went off the road and Vallejo inherited the first position in Super1600.
"We are satisfied with the result, now we ares leader of Super1600 Championship and
second in the Spanish Championship", said Vallejo at the end of the day.
