Videoclips in Puntopower! (December 28th 2001) Some videoclips have been added to the Puntopower site. A new page is available! Some new pictures about Fiat Punto Rally (December 28th 2001) I found some pictures of Punto Rally in the Dallavilla site and I added them in the Punto Rally gallery. Pica in the race (December 27th 2001) I have found some picture of Pica involved at racing with his Punto car. Please check his web page in my site. Added nice car of Francis Alunan's Punto Sporting (December 20th 2001) I added a very nice Punto Sporting Mk2 to the gallery, the Alunan's Punto Sporting, from Hong Kong, although the car is driven in Germany. Fiat Punto at Motorshow 2001 (December 16th 2001) On December 14th 2001 I was at Motorshow 2001 and I had occasion to take several pictures of Fiat Punto, tuned Punto, Punto Rally exposed, nad Punto Rally engaging races in the Trofeo Fiat Punto kit and Ancora WRC Mundialito 2001 Cup. Added car of Ritesh Panchal (December 13th 2001) I added a quiet Punto SX to the gallery, the Ritesh Panchal's Punto SX, from Great Britain.
New cars in the Gallery (December 12th 2001) Three cars have been added in the users gallery: Michael Crozier, from Great Britain, sent us several pictures of his yellow Punto HGT, with 17" wheels. I added also the Fran Vallecillo's Punto GT, from Spain and the Daniel Ng's Punto GT from Singapore.

Meeting for Punto Racing Club Triveneto at Avio (December 9th 2001) A decision taken at the last minute made the Punto Racing Club members of Triveneto (three regions, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige) to meet at Avio (TN). They met informally, but they had occasion to see the latest evolution of Eraldo Garbaini's Punto HGT and Giorgio's Punto Sporting. Click here for some pictures.
Turbocharged Punto HGT at work (December 7th 2001) The Swiss Supercharger and MC Racing tuner are working on the Fiat Punto HGT and installing a turbine to the VFD 16v engine. They are testing that equipment at the this link.
ECUs of Punto HGT and Sporting Mk2 (December 6th 2001) More tuners here in Italy are working hard with the ECU units of Punto HGT and Punto Sporting Mk2. Several cars are sold everyday and the request of any driver are claiming the new chips. We have well known that four firms are to be ready to sell the first tuned chips for those two cars. We remember the rally experience of Vedovati Corse and the electronic tuning experience of All Car Racing, Dimsport, and Alientech.
Franco Cunico will be Punto kit developer and tester in 2002 (5th December 2001) The great rally driver Franco Cunico, after 24 years of victories in Italian and International rallies, decided to stop his shining career and found the N Technology firm. He retired after winning the TIT (Trofeo Italiano Terra, the Italian ground rally championship) with Subaru Impreza WRC. The just founded firm N Technology will take the sorts of Fiat Punto Rally, that took part to the Super1600 World Rally Championship, and it will develop the car for teams that user the Fiat car. One of the heaviest defects of Fiat Punto Rally was the fact it hasn't been tested very much on ground, but more on asphalt. Franco Cunico will give the car and the teams all his experience in rally activities.

Frenky's Punto HGT (November 23rd 2001) Franco Daleo, a.k.a. Frenky, sent me some pictures of his Punto HGT. We may look at his car at this link. He partecipated at several drag races during the summer 2001 and we got good results with his Punto. The best time he got is 15.8 seconds on 0-400m race.
Hormann site with several Punto parts (November 22nd 2001) Hormann, the German tuner specialized for Italian cars has updated its site and it has interesting parts for newer Punto. In the price list I found several wheels (15", 16", 17"), a A-camshaft, a complete exhaust system, and complete set of springs and dumpers.
Simo's Punto Sporting and new Punto HGT FAQ (November 10th 2001) Simone Coltri sent me some pictures of his Punto Sporting. We may look at his car at this link. In the meanwhile I collected several information about tuning the Punto HGT and a lot of information is available from the tuning page.

Super1600 updated championship after Corse Rally (October 22nd 2001)
Sebastien Loeb returned to victory at the Corse Rally, but Dallavilla, with Fiat Punto Rally, tried to fight again the Frenchman, without luck. Dallavilla was 9 seconds late, after several SPs.
The performance lets Loeb to become the first winner of the just born Super1600 World Championship. Here it is the updated classification:
Maggiora Punto Road G.T. (October 15th 2001) I have reorganized several pages with pictures and another page with Punto Maggiora, named Road G.T. has appeared.
New Punto Rally Pictures (October 14th 2001) Several pictures have been added in another page, the Artemio Race Line page. A lot of information about Punto Rally has been updated in the Punto Rally page.
First Modifications for my Punto HGT (October 11th 2001) I decide to start with my first modifications to my Fiat Punto HGT. I got the suggestions from Elaborare forum members and the even more useful suggestions of Negrente, my personal tuner. You may have access here to the photos. The short list of the modifications:
Andrea Dallavilla wins in Super1600 class at Sanremo's Rally (October 8th 2001) Andrea Dallavilla has won the Sanremo's Rally in the Super1600 class. This win lets him to engage in the final rush for the victory in the World Super1600 Championship against Sebastian Loeb, which arrived second in the WRC class with the Citroen XSara WRC. Next races will be the Corse Rally in France and the Network Q Rally in Great Britain. Classification: 1st, Loeb (F), Citroen Saxo, 30 p, 2nd, Dallavilla (I), Fiat Punto, 24p, 3rd, Stenstorne (N), Ford Puma, 7p, 4th Basso (I), Fiat Punto, 6p.
New Carcept pictures (September 10th 2001) I added new links to Carcept and some pictures of its kits and the Tuned Punto GTs gallery and the Tuned Punto HGTs gallery.
New links and new pictures (September 6th 2001) I added new links to Formula 2 and a lot of new images sent by users. I'm going to redesign completely the pictures gallery in order to give anybody his own web page, with the his pictures and the list of the modifications he made to the car.
Auto Kit Show Imola 2001 (September 2nd 2001) I went to the Auto Kit Show 2001, which was sited at the Formula 1 circuit of Imola. Hundreds of cars and fans of tuned cars attended this international event, with some driver also from Switzerland and Germany. Here is it a photographic report of the event.
Pica's HGT (June 16th 2001) Mattia Pica from Rome has sent us a lot of pictures of his Punto HGT. He is also going on tuning hard the mechanics of the car. Here it is a link to his page.

I was at the meeting (March 5th 2001) I was able to meet the other guys at a Punto GT meeting at Monza, MI, Italy organized by Fabrio Pellegrinetti. I had occasion to appreciate the dozens of fans that touched the mechanics and the electronics of their own Punto GTs. I will put some photos during the next week.
