Jose Antonio Caracci Napolitano from Santiago (Chile) sent us some pictures with his Punto GT. That Punto is the only Punto that came in the American continents! Jose Antonio made some minor modifications to his car:

  • tuned exhaust with 63 mm tube from the turbocharger to the end
  • tuned kat
  • Sparco Cromodora Wheels
  • ceramic clutch
  • Castelli overboost kit
  • lighter flywheel
  • blow off valve
  • fuel pressure regulator system
  • Fulda 195/45 R15 tyres
  • Lowered suspension kit

Jose Antonio has measured a maximum power of 140 HPs and 0-100 km/h performance in 7.6 seconds, from his first tuning stage, but the long list of modifications and the turbo charging pressure at 2 bar make us say the real power and the real acceleration is really faster, because of original Subaru Impreza WRX isn't as faster as the Jose's Punto.

Chilean drag races

Jose Antonio sent me also a series of pictures of a drag race in Vizcachas (Chile), where his own blue Fiat Punto GT sported really well again various cars. Jose Antonio got the first place in the category versus cars, like Audi S2, a Suzuki Swift turbo, and a Honda Civic Turbo.
